In order to promote the development of the education work of international students in our school, we set up the international student scholarship in Nanjing university of Posts and Telecommunications (hereinafter referred to as"scholarship") to encourage excellent international students to study in our university.

Type of scholarship

International students scholarship is divided into special scholarship and general scholarship. The special scholarship is used to reward outstanding PhD students.

1.Special scholarship

(1)First-class scholarship

-First-class PhD general scholarship

-Living allowance: 2,000 yuan/month

(2)Second-class scholarship

-First-class PhD general scholarship

-Living allowance: 1,000 yuan/month

Number and scale of scholarship

  1. Scholarships for Incoming Freshmen (100%)

    • PhD student:50% students will get First-class special scholarship, the other 50% students will get Second-class special scholarship.

    • Master and Bachelor student: Every student will get the First-class general scholarship.

  2. Scholarship for students at university already

    • PhD student:50% students will get First-class special scholarship, the other 50% students will get Second-class special scholarship.

    • Master and Bachelor student: 50% student will get the First-class general scholarship, 30% will get the Second-class general scholarship, 20% will get the Third-class general scholarship.

       

    • Scholarship application and review

    1. Application time and way

  • The incoming fresh students need to apply to the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges for the scholarship.

  • Application deadline is May 31 each year.

  • The second grade or above international students apply to the College of Overseas Education for scholarship.

  • Application deadline is Sep 30 each year.

2. Application Documents

  1. Scholarship application Form

  2. Highest diploma (notarized photocopy)

  3. Foreigner Physical Examination Form (Uniformly printed by Chinese health and quarantine departments).

  4. Applicants for graduate studies need one recommendation letter from full professor or associate professor, and copies of published academic papers or other academic achievements.

     

    The second grade or above international students only need to provide the above item 1 and 4 materials.

3. Selection criteria of scholarship

 1) Annual Review;

 2) The qualifications of scholarship are reevaluated on October every year.

 3) The scholarship recipients should be selectively selected based on application

materials.

 4) Those who have received Government Scholarship or Company Scholarship, can also apply for NUPT Scholarship, and obtain two honorary certificates at the same time, but can only get the highest scholarship bonus, that means if you get twos cholarships at the same time, you can only get the highest one bonus.

Basic qualifications of applicants:

  1. Comply with Chinese government laws and regulations with good performance;

  2. Good learning attitude, no violation of university discipline and rules, meet the requirements of course study;

  3. Actively participate in class and university activities, respect teachers, and be friendly to classmates;

  4. Register, pay required fees, apply for visa and residence permit in time.

 

Supplementary articles:

1. The scholarship evaluation group consists of Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges, College of Overseas Education, Office of Academic Affairs, Graduate School and other units.

2. Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges is responsible for the interpretation of the scholarship granting procedures and regulations. The rule goes into effect in 2014.
