This week on April 11th at Room 102, Building One, the Chinese Language and Culture Club discussed and announced their way forward. Although they had had a previous meeting to elect their leaders, but this was the first official meeting. Discussed were further details about how to manage the club including the activities that must be done and the main agenda of the meeting. Even though the club was made partly for all the international students, but many couldn’t make it, however the number was encouraging to begin as early as 7 pm.

To announce the new club, the chairman and bachelor of business administration Adjei Agyapong Francis took the stage. After reviewing the purpose and the main function of the club the members were given the mantel to give a name for the club based on its main purpose. As they voted for the names suggested, it finally appeared to be called “Chinese Language and Culture Club” and the primary focus was to learn Chinese and the secondary focus of unity.

In addition to learning Chinese, the members came up with some activities that will improve the interpersonal relationship of the students involved. Taking new page of this social connection, they suggested some interesting activities to begin with, which include sports, watching Chinese historical movies, organizing executions and more. As a news reporter, basing on the joy I witness during their get together made me realized this is a must join club.
